MEIER UNIVERSITY is a series of training classes is designed to focus on our customer’s needs in a professional and comfortable setting.  Refreshments and snacks will be provided.  Classes will be held in one of our regional training facilities.

LG VRF INSTALLATION & SERVICE CLASS

January 22 – 24, 2019 – Conklin, NY
Chuck Gaylord of Meier Supply will present this class. This is an exclusive Meier Supply LG Training Academy class which incorporates lab exercises created by Meier Supply. Upon completion of the 3 day class, participants gain the knowledge to properly install and service LG VRF systems and will receive a Factory Certification for both MLV01 and MLV03 classes. This class also incorporates lab exercises. You will receive copies of the presentations including the lab exercise workbook. Upon completion, participants gain the knowledge to properly install and service LG VRF systems. Participants will receive a Factory Certification for both MLV01 and MLV03 classes. The class outline is: Day 1 (Installation Essentials): You will learn the manufacture’s guidelines for the correct outdoor and indoor unit positioning, piping, and wiring of the LG VRF equipment. Installation specifications and set-up of the LG accessories and controls will also be covered. Utilizing classroom time and hands-on lab exercises, students will gain knowledge of what needs to be completed before commissioning can take place. During lab activities, students will be introduced to LGMV (LG Monitoring View Software) which is the tool that must be used to evaluate system performance. This session will help to ensure that the LG VRF equipment is correctly installed for long term reliability and performance. Days 2 & 3 (Multi V 5 Advanced Service): You will learn the relationship between the major components and what part they play in proper system operation with an emphasis on an overview of the electrical and refrigerant circuits. With the use of the LGMV service tool and using traditional service tools, technicians will learn to record and interpret data for making system evaluations. Lab exercises are designed to address the issues commonly found in the field giving the student a guideline for efficiently troubleshooting system problems. The hands-on portion of the class will be conducted with tools supplied by JB Industries and Fieldpiece.

January 23, 2019 – Syracuse, NY
This course covers the basic principles of refrigeration and fundamentals of the vapor compressor refrigeration cycle. Commercial Economizers

February 12 - Binghamton, NY
This class will cover the Honeywell economizer packages used in most manufacturers’ equipment, including Ruud. Primary focus will be on the Honeywell W7200 series economizer module. The following topics will be discussed: Benefits and reasons for economizers and fresh air; Basic operation of the economizer; Accessories used with economizers including the CO2 sensors and powered exhaust; Set up including mixed air formulas and IAQ settings; Introduction to the JADE Economizer module for retro fit applications; Diagnostics to include proper test procedures and review of electrical sequence of operation.

3-DAY COMPRESSOR OPERATION & SERVICE SEMINAR (COSS)

February 19 – 21, 2019 - Albany & Middletown, NY
The Emerson Climate Technologies Compressor Operation & Service Seminar (COSS) is an intensive and in-depth three-day program that shows you how to adopt proper techniques and practices for the real-world environment with completely updated material and more emphasis on the latest technology. It includes overall system design, field service and troubleshooting skills, the latest Copeland compressor technology and applications, and a valuable failure analysis hands-on tear-down. Results include better customer service, more accurate diagnosis and more effective repairs to eliminate costly callbacks and increase technician productivity.

Any enrollment cancellations less than four (4) business days before the class
start date will result in an automatic billing of the entire class fee.  If you cannot attend and it is too late for refund or credit, you may send someone in your place.
